Behind the Vision

Invenio is dedicated to providing compassionate, evidence-based care in a supportive and confidential environment.

My work focuses on helping individuals navigate life’s challenges, strengthen resilience, and move toward meaningful personal growth.

The Beliefs That Shape My Practice

✓ Every person has a story that deserves to be heard with compassion, curiosity, and without judgment.

✓ Healing begins when people feel emotionally safe, accepted, and genuinely understood.

✓ Therapy is not one-size-fits-all. Every treatment plan should be personalized to meet your unique needs, experiences, and goals.

✓ You are not broken. Many emotional struggles are understandable responses to life experiences, trauma, loss, chronic stress, or relationship wounds.

✓ Lasting healing involves the connection between the mind, body, and spirit—not just managing symptoms.

✓ The therapeutic relationship matters. Trust, collaboration, and authenticity create the foundation for meaningful change.

✓ I believe in approaching each person with curiosity rather than assumptions, honoring your culture, values, beliefs, and lived experiences.

✓ Growth comes through awareness, self-compassion, and understanding—not shame or criticism.

✓ The body holds valuable information. Working with the nervous system can help create greater regulation, resilience, and healing.

✓ My role is not to tell you who to become, but to walk alongside you as you reconnect with your own strengths, wisdom, and capacity for change.

✓ Healing is a journey, not a destination. Progress doesn't require perfection—it happens one step, one insight, and one courageous choice at a time.

Hello, and welcome. I'm Mary, a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor and private practice psychotherapist serving clients in Las Vegas, Nevada.

If there's one thing I've learned about life, it's that everyone's story deserves to be heard with compassion, curiosity, and without judgment. My path to becoming a therapist wasn't a straight line, but looking back, every step prepared me for the work I do today.

My journey began studying cultural anthropology and sociology, where I became fascinated by people, cultures, and the many ways we make meaning of our lives. Anthropology taught me one of the greatest gifts I bring into the therapy room: the ability to observe with genuine curiosity rather than assumption. I learned to appreciate each person's unique experiences, beliefs, and way of seeing the world without imposing my own perspective. That mindset continues to shape the way I practice therapy today.

Before becoming a therapist, I spent more than twenty years working in higher education as a career advisor, academic advisor, and professor. During those years, I had the privilege of mentoring and supporting countless college students as they navigated important life transitions. While I loved that work, I began to recognize a growing need for mental health support that extended beyond academic advising. That realization led me back to graduate school, where I earned my second master's degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling.

As I transitioned into full-time therapy, first in Idaho and now in Nevada, I realized I had found where I was meant to be.

It is an incredible honor to sit with people during some of the most meaningful moments of their lives. Whether someone is carrying trauma, grief, anxiety, relationship struggles, life transitions, or simply searching for greater self-understanding, I consider it a privilege to hear their story. I also have the opportunity to celebrate alongside my clients—their resilience, growth, accomplishments, healing, and moments of joy.

I often think of my role as being similar to that of an anthropologist. Rather than telling people who they should become, I serve as a compassionate mirror and guide. My role is to listen deeply, notice patterns, reflect what I see, and help clients discover their own strengths, insights, and capacity for change. I believe lasting transformation happens when people reconnect with the wisdom they already carry within themselves.

Because therapy is such a personal and vulnerable experience, creating a space where people feel safe is deeply important to me. I want my office to feel less like a clinical setting and more like a place where you can exhale—a space where you feel welcomed, respected, and comfortable enough to share the parts of your story that may have never been spoken aloud.

Clients often describe me as warm, present, empathetic, and nonjudgmental. My goal is to ensure that every person who walks through my door feels seen, heard, and accepted exactly as they are.

I also believe healing extends beyond the mind alone. True healing often involves the connection between the mind, body, and spirit. Alongside traditional psychotherapy, I offer holistic healing approaches for clients who feel called to explore supplemental practices that support nervous system regulation, emotional healing, and personal growth. Every treatment plan is individualized because I believe therapy should honor the whole person—not simply a diagnosis or symptom.

This work has become the second chapter of my life, and I truly cannot imagine doing anything more meaningful. Every client I meet teaches me something about resilience, humanity, hope, and the incredible capacity people have to heal.

Thank you for taking the time to learn a little about me. If you're considering therapy, I would be honored to walk alongside you as you begin—or continue—your own healing journey.
