Intensives
Healing doesn’t always need to happen one hour at a time. Therapy intensives create the space to slow down, feel supported, and make deeper progress in a way that honors your story and your nervous system.
What are Intensives?
Therapy intensives are extended therapy sessions designed to provide more time and space for meaningful healing than a traditional 50–60 minute appointment. Whether offered as a half-day, full-day, or multiple-day experience, intensives allow you to focus deeply on the concerns that matter most, helping you gain insight, process difficult experiences, and build practical tools for lasting change—all at a pace that feels supportive and intentional.
Unlike weekly therapy, where progress unfolds gradually over time, therapy intensives create an opportunity to immerse yourself in the therapeutic process without the interruption of long gaps between sessions. This continuity can help you stay connected to your emotions, maintain momentum, and move through layers of healing in a more focused and efficient way.
Many people find that therapy intensives help them access clarity and breakthroughs that may take much longer to reach in traditional therapy. They can be especially helpful when you are feeling stuck, navigating a significant life transition, or wanting to dedicate focused time to healing a specific issue or pattern.
Ultimately, therapy intensives are designed to meet you where you are and support you in moving forward with greater understanding, relief, and confidence in your healing journey.
Therapy intensives can be especially helpful if you are looking for focused support with:
Processing trauma or distressing life experiences
Healing attachment wounds and relationship patterns
Anxiety, panic, or chronic stress
PTSD and complex trauma
OCD and intrusive thoughts
Grief and complicated loss
Life transitions or feeling stuck
Burnout and emotional exhaustion
Building self-worth and self-compassion
Strengthening emotional regulation and nervous system resilience
Navigating communication and challenges in your relationship
Preparing for or integrating EMDR therapy
Gaining clarity around important life decisions
Reconnecting with yourself after overwhelming experiences
Every therapy intensive is personalized to your unique needs, goals, and readiness, creating a focused experience that supports meaningful progress in a shorter period of time.
Types of Intensive Experiences Offered
-
EMDR intensives offer a premium, personalized therapy experience for those seeking deeper healing without the limitations of traditional weekly sessions. Designed to provide dedicated, uninterrupted time, these extended sessions allow you to immerse yourself in the therapeutic process, creating the opportunity for meaningful progress in a supportive and thoughtfully paced environment. Whether you're working through trauma, anxiety, grief, or significant life experiences, an EMDR intensive offers a focused space to reconnect with yourself, restore emotional balance, and move toward lasting healing.
-
Couples intensives offer a dedicated, personalized experience for partners who want to make meaningful progress without the limitations of traditional weekly therapy. By setting aside several uninterrupted hours, couples have the opportunity to slow down, explore the deeper patterns affecting their relationship, and develop new ways of communicating and reconnecting in a supportive, focused environment. Whether you're navigating recurring conflict, rebuilding trust, healing after betrayal, or preparing for an important life transition, a couples intensive provides the time and space to create lasting change together.
-
Trauma and grief intensives offer a deeply personalized healing experience for individuals seeking dedicated time to process life-changing experiences in a safe, supportive environment. Combining trauma-informed care, EMDR, and somatic therapy, these extended sessions provide the opportunity to gently work through unresolved trauma, loss, or overwhelming life events while also addressing how these experiences have been held within the body and nervous system. With several uninterrupted hours devoted entirely to your healing, trauma and grief intensives create space for deeper emotional processing, greater self-understanding, and a renewed sense of balance, resilience, and hope.
What to expect:
Intensive sessions are available by special request and are intentionally limited to a small number each month. This allows me to be fully present, engaged, and able to provide the level of care, focus, and energy that these extended sessions deserve. For some clients, scheduling an intensive once a month or every other month can be a valuable complement to their ongoing weekly therapy, offering dedicated time to work more deeply on specific goals or experiences while continuing to build on the progress made in regular sessions.
-
Every intensive begins with a consultation to determine whether this format is the best fit for your needs. Together, we'll discuss your goals, review your history, and create a personalized plan so your time is focused on what matters most.
-
During your intensive, you'll have several uninterrupted hours to explore and process experiences at a pace that feels safe and supportive. Depending on your needs, sessions may incorporate EMDR, somatic therapy, attachment-based approaches, nervous system regulation, and other trauma-informed interventions. We will make sure to take breaks when needed, have beverages and snacks on-hand, and plenty of tools to help regulate your nervous system.
-
Healing doesn't end when the intensive is over. I will spend time helping you integrate what you've processed, identify meaningful insights, and develop practical strategies to support your emotional well-being and nervous system in the days and weeks that follow.
-
After your intensive, we'll discuss recommendations for continued care based on your goals. Some clients return to weekly or biweekly therapy, while others schedule additional intensives as needed. Together, we'll create a plan that supports lasting growth and helps you continue building on the progress you've made.

Wear whatever helps you feel most comfortable and at ease. Since intensive sessions are longer than a traditional therapy appointment, many clients prefer comfortable, layered clothing that allows them to relax throughout the day. Feel free to bring a water bottle, snacks, a journal, or anything else that helps you feel grounded, such as a favorite blanket, sweater, or comfort item. My goal is to create a calm, welcoming space where you can settle in, focus on your healing, and feel supported from beginning to end.
