Your journey to discovery and healing begins here

Invenio is a Latin term meaning "to find, discover, or come upon". When applied to mental health, it refers to the proactive process of discovering new ways to manage mental well-being, uncovering underlying causes of distress, and finding tailored support systems.

Welcome …

I'm glad you are here. I know taking the first step can be scary. It takes a lot of courage to realize the tools you used to "survive" in your past are no longer helping you thrive in the present. Life is a series of transitions and challenges. We develop strategies in our early years as survival mechanisms, however those same practices whether formed in response to childhood trauma, family expectations or high pressured environments start to feel ineffective rather than productive. If you feel the way you have handled things in the past aren't working anymore, you are not failing, you are evolving. I am here, tell me your story.

Mary Alondra Martin, M.Ed., M.S., LCPC

You Don’t Have to Do It All Alone (Anymore…)

Many of the people I work with have spent years being the strong one—taking care of others, pushing through difficult circumstances, and minimizing their own needs. Therapy provides a safe, compassionate space to finally slow down, be heard, and begin healing.

Therapy is more than talking about what has happened. It is an opportunity to deepen self-awareness, strengthen your connection to yourself, heal the mind-body effects of trauma, and develop practical tools that help you move through life with greater confidence, resilience, and self-trust.

You may find yourself here if you are:

  • Healing from childhood trauma, attachment wounds, or other difficult life experiences

  • Feeling overwhelmed by anxiety, chronic stress, or emotional exhaustion

  • Living with PTSD, Complex PTSD, or the lasting effects of trauma

  • Navigating life transitions, grief, perimenopause, menopause, or changes in identity

  • Struggling with boundaries, people-pleasing, perfectionism or trusting yourself

  • Living with OCD, intrusive thoughts, rumination and repeated patterns and behaviors.

  • Feeling disconnected from yourself, your body, or the life you want to create

  • Looking for a supportive, nonjudgmental space where you can feel understood, accepted, and empowered

A different type of therapy “office”…

Starting therapy can feel intimidating. If you've been putting it off because you're worried about walking into a cold, clinical office, I want you to know this space is intentionally different.

There are no crowded waiting rooms, no clipboards full of paperwork to complete when you arrive, and no sitting beside strangers wondering who knows why you're there. Instead, you'll be welcomed into a quiet, private sanctuary designed to help you exhale.

My office feels more like stepping into a comfortable living room than a traditional therapy practice—a place where you can settle in, enjoy a cup of coffee, tea, or a cold drink, and simply begin telling your story when you're ready. There is no pressure to have the "right" words or know where to start. We move at your pace.

Healing happens best when you feel safe. My goal is to create an environment where you can set down the weight you've been carrying, feel genuinely seen and heard, and begin exploring your experiences in a space that is calm, welcoming, and deeply respectful of your privacy.

Whether you're seeking support for trauma, anxiety, life transitions, relationship challenges, or simply feeling disconnected from yourself, I hope you'll find this to be a place where you can feel at ease from the moment you walk through the door.

Areas of Specialty

People seek therapy for many different reasons and at various stages of life. I provide thoughtful, individualized care for adults from diverse backgrounds, supporting a wide range of challenges, life experiences, and personal goals. While every therapeutic journey is unique, many clients come to me with concerns that fall into one or more of the following areas:

  • PTSD & Complex Trauma

For individuals who have experienced trauma in many different ways across the lifespan—from childhood attachment wounds and chronic stress to acute life-threatening events or relational harm in adulthood. Therapy allows you to process these experiences, understand how trauma impacts the mind and body, and develop healthier ways of coping. Through healing, you can build resilience, strengthen relationships, reconnect with your authentic self, and move forward with greater confidence, balance, and emotional well-being.

  • First Responders

First responders are trained to stay calm under pressure, but repeated exposure to trauma and chronic stress can take a toll on both the mind and body. Therapy provides a safe, confidential space to process these experiences, understand the effects of cumulative trauma, and build practical tools for healing and resilience. Through a compassionate, trauma-informed approach, you can reduce stress, strengthen emotional well-being, and reconnect with yourself both on and off duty.

  • Attachment Wounds & Grief

Many of the ways we relate to ourselves and others are shaped by our earliest relationships. When those relationships were marked by inconsistency, neglect, loss, or emotional pain, the effects can continue into adulthood as attachment wounds. Grief, whether from the loss of a loved one, a relationship, or the life you expected, can deepen those wounds and leave you feeling disconnected, overwhelmed, or stuck. Therapy offers a compassionate space to process loss, heal old patterns, and build a greater sense of security, connection, and emotional resilience.

  • Life Transitions (Gen-X specialty)

Gen X often finds itself balancing multiple roles while navigating major life transitions, career changes, shifting relationships, caregiving, empty nesting, grief, and questions of identity and purpose. You can reconnect with your values, navigate uncertainty with greater clarity and confidence, build resilience, embrace life's next chapter, and create a path that feels more authentic and fulfilling.

  • Couples Therapy

A supportive space for partners working to strengthen communication, rebuild trust, and navigate conflict with greater understanding. Together, we work to foster healthier relationship patterns, increase emotional intimacy, and create relationships that feel more secure, authentic, and fulfilling.

  • OCD & "Pure O" OCD

A safe, nonjudgmental space to better understand patterns, develop healthier ways of responding to intrusive thoughts, and reduce the cycle of anxiety and compulsions. With compassionate, evidence-based support, it is possible to find relief, build confidence, and reclaim a greater sense of peace and freedom.
